TopVue Recognized as the Recommended Configuration Management/Data Management Solution for the Space and Missile Systems Center System Program Offices at Los Angeles AFB

CLEARFIELD, Utah - July 30, 2004 - TopVue, the leading small business provider of DoD focused information technology solutions for acquisition processes, announced today that it had been recognized as the recommended tool solution for meeting configuration management and (CDRL) data management requirements for Space & Missile Systems Center (SMC) HQ program offices. The SMC HQ Chief Engineer, Directorate of Systems Acquisition, posted a recommendation on a staff summary sheet for each SPO to convert to TopVue for their CM/DM needs.

In April 2004, a comparison was concluded for off-the-shelf CDRL and CM capabilities by the Air Force between between the TopVue solution and other government solutions. In terms of cost, schedule, and performance, TopVue was recommended for use at the Space & Missiles Systems Center for CM/DM requirements.

Traditionally, each SPO within SMC has been responsible for implementing its own CM/DM software program, including acquiring the necessary tools for the effort. The end result has been each SPO spending time and money developing unique solutions with varying degrees of success. After many years, a common set of CM/DM requirements has been agreed upon by the different SPOs, and TopVue has been selected as the tool to support these requirements, recognizing the following benefits: 1) facilitating the reuse of common CM/DM processes between the SPOs with simplified training requirements; 2) reducing the cost incurred in developing customized CM/DM solutions; 3) providing a less costly interface to Knowledge Management tools for CM/DM data across SMC; and 4) permitting the rollup of SMC-wide CM/DM metrics to the PEO.

"Our selection to meet SMC-wide CM/DM requirements is right in-line with our vision for TopVue", said Bill Farr, CEO of TopVue. "TopVue technology provides the only commercially available off-the-shelf CDRL management solution that can not only serve as a base-wide CM/DM repository, but can also be tailored within each SPO to meet any unique requirements. We're very excited to continue to provide value and support cost reductions center-wide."
