Program Collaboration

Programs across the armed forces each have their own characteristics - different systems, requirements, phases, vendors, and different prime contractors. Each of these elements presents its own challenges that make a program unique - but at the same time, each of these also shares a common backbone - they all require collaboration on the essential program elements - milestones, documentation, meetings, action items, calendaring. Joint-programs even more so, due to the added complexity of keeping different geographies synched together.

For my joint program we've got people spread all over the country - can we provide access to critical data for everyone?

TopVue's model is to leverage current technology, combining it with an understanding of the industry's needs, in such a way that the solution is easy to use and actually adds value to customers. Perhaps the best example of this is in TopVue's program collaboration solution, PMvue. PMvue gathers program documentation, meeting details, action item tasking, and provides access to all of these via standard web browser to authenticated users. No other software is required, meaning that any program members that have proper security credentials have access to up-to-the-minute program data via their desktop.

What about providing project workspaces so that members have a single place to find all current information?

PMvue enables creating project 'work-rooms', which provide a single location to post program documents, identify meetings, assign action items, and other program-specific data. These work-rooms are also secure - meaning that only individuals identified as work-room members have access to their associated data. And if an item needs to be released from the work-room to the general PMvue users, that is easily accomplished as well.

Is it possible to get a snapshot of program activity scheduled over the next several weeks?

To make program planning even easier, PMvue includes an Integrated Program Calendar - displaying all date-based activity in a single calendar, which can be filtered by activity type, activity category, and other attributes. Prior CDRL submittals, upcoming submittals scheduled, meetings, action item due dates, and contract milestones - all can be viewed via PMvue's integrated calendar, from which the user can drill-down on a given activity to see related information. And to prevent potential problems from escalating, PMvue's calendar can also indicate missed due dates with red alert flags for increased visibility.

How can I easily keep all IPT members updated on schedule changes?

TopVue takes the next step in bringing together program members regardless of their location. PMvue utilizes an integrated business rule engine, seamlessly driving notification alerts to program members based on guidelines that you establish. When new meetings are created, PMvue can email all attendees providing them a link to view the meeting details from their web browser. Similarly, as action items are generated, the individuals to which they are assigned are notified automatically, with the option to also notify other key program individuals that need oversight to their completion. And if dates are missed, automatic notifications can be sent out to program managers so that appropriate action can be taken immediately.
