Press Release
CLEARFIELD, Utah - March 1, 2005 - TopVue, a leading provider of off-the-shelf software and services to the Department of Defense announced today another successful phase of the implementation of their CDRLvue tool in the Global Positioning System (GPS) Joint Program Office (JPO).
The GPS JPO is located at the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) at Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA. The NAVSTAR GPS provides highly accurate three-dimensional position, velocity and time to a wide variety of US and allied field forces as well as navigation data to civilian and commercial users worldwide.
TopVue has been supporting GPS in a phased roll out of the TopVue CDRLvue system for managing contractual data deliverables for GPS programs. The GPS JPO is presently using TopVue to manage all contracts and CDRL deliveries, provide a secured portal for contractor delivery submittals, and support configuration control board functionality for review and approval of CCB activity.
The following benefits are being achieved by GPS through using CDRLvue:
. centralized repository for all CDRL and contract information that is maintained and current;
. web-based system is easily accessible to program managers and members; and
. ongoing implementation of CCB functionality will ensure better coordination of CCB activities with members internal and external to the JPO, including other sustainment locations.
"In short, the TopVue tool has been absolutely remarkable. It has made our work more automated, seamless and entirely efficient." stated John Leary, Capt. USAF, GPS CM/DM Office.
"The GPS joint program office is one of TopVue's oldest customers. That we have been able to continue supporting GPS and adding value to their processes is something we're very proud of", said Bill Farr, CEO of TopVue Defense, Inc. "TopVue is looking forward to continuing working with GPS and expanding our offerings to further support and automate their key program processes."
