TopVue teams with Documentum to Provide Off-the-shelf Integrated Solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition and Sustainment Program Offices

CLEARFIELD, Utah - July 30, 2004 - TopVue, the leading small business provider of DoD focused integrated program data environments, today announced a strategic agreement with Documentum, a provider of enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, to deliver off-the-shelf TopVue capabilities architected on Documentum's enterprise content management services technology. Documentum's ECM capability is an integrated set of content, compliance, and collaboration solutions that supports a Program Office's content management needs.

Traditionally, Program Offices have had to manage contract-CDRL, risk, and CM processes with document management separately, many times in custom databases or customized solutions. This has required custom or proprietary systems and IT specialists with niche programming skills, along with a significant investment in services. This process is fragmented, resulting in significantly higher costs for program office operations, software maintenance, and data integration with downstream acquisition and sustainment processes. To address these issues as an option, TopVue has tightly integrated Documentum into its acquisition and sustainment web database solutions to further support enterprise content management for program-critical processes including, contract CDRL management, risk management and configuration management (CM) needs of DoD organizations.

The combination of TopVue's acquisition and sustainment program off-the-shelf database tools, with Documentum's enterprise content management technology, provides DoD Program Offices the best of breed way to manage at the enterprise level the knowledge and content originating from strategic acquisition and sustainment activities (program planning, risk management, contract-CDRL management and configuration management), while providing the required source data for critical sustainment processes including logistics configuration management and technical data manual management. The result is substantial reduction in administrative overhead activities and consolidated databases with marked increase in data availability and readiness. Moreover, the solution is truly off-the-shelf focused on DoD processes.

"Our teaming with Documentum provides DoD program offices best-of-breed off-the-shelf solutions to support their transformation and application reduction initiatives, in light of enterprise content management advances. Integrated with Documentum's ECM infrastructure, our combined solution delivers flexible and tailorable acquisition and sustainment program process support and data content to the end user via standard web browser, making timely and accurate information truly available anytime and anywhere," said Bill Farr, CEO of TopVue.

"Documentum's rapid penetration into the Federal marketplace has brought us face-to-face with customers and integrators challenged with managing large-scale projects that generate thousands of deliverables" stated Monte Wilson, VP of Government Sales for Documentum. "TopVue's robust application and delivery record for Air Force, Navy, Army and other DoD acquisition and sustainment programs have made them the go-to partner for Documentum in the CDRL management space."
