Press Release
Clearfield, UT - 30 August 2005 - TopVue Defense, Inc. today announced the release of a new module, BSCvue, targeted at managing Balanced Scorecard processes and data in mission critical environments.
Developed in the early 1990s by Harvard's Kaplan and Norton, the balanced scorecard methodology is a framework to help an organization manage their strategy. It helps link an organization's objectives to their measures, and assists in the alignment of activities to meet the overall mission.
TopVue's BSCvue product provides a web database application framework to manage the data and processes related to a score-carding effort. The system provides a centralized repository for managing a strategy map along with tools to integrate objectives, initiatives, goals, measures, risks, meetings, action items and related workflow and document management.
BSCvue's unique differentiator is within the DoD and government sector, as the system is delivered with a full integrated data model that decreases the time to interrelate measures in a scorecard. BSCvue's unique approach is in providing the programmatic data connections off-the-shelf for a large government center or program office. Such off-the-shelf data connections include data repositories for measure data for programs, contracts, CDRLs, milestones, risks, systems engineering, ILS, risk management, supply chain management, human resources, depot management, etc.
"Our experience in managing critical data for military acquisition and sustainment programs has positioned us in a focused and deliberate manner for delivering score-carding tools for the DoD and other similar organizations, " said Bill Farr, CEO and Founder of TopVue Defense. "We believe our BSCvue tool will help save a considerable amount of time and money in managing the score-carding process as it is able to connect to vital programmatic data relationships."
BSCvue is developed using leading industry technologies such as XML, .NET, Oracle, and SQL Server. BSCvue is tailorable to meet an organization's specific requirements, and it integrates with other TopVue solutions such as contract data management, configuration management, risk management, and program management.
